The strawberry scented rag doll has been adored since she first appeared in 1979, along with her fruit and dessert-themed companions that live and play in a magical world called, Strawberryland. With initially greeting cards, a toy launch, television specials, movies, video games and television series that combine over 100 episodes and more recently with the relaunch of "Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures", the delightful characters continue to capture the hearts of children.

Strawberry Shortcake is everyone's berry best friend and owns the Berry Cafe in Berry Bitty City. Strawberry is sweet and spirited girl with magenta hair and sprinkling of freckles and has a pet kitten called Custard and a dog called Pupcake.

Lemon Meringue knows all the latest hair styles and runs the Berry Bitty City hair salon called, Lemon Salon. Lemon Meringue is fun and friendly, with long golden yellow hair and has a pet cocker spaniel called, Henna.
Orange Blossom

Orange Blossom runs the town market, Orange Mart, and always offers her customers a smile. Orange Blossom has a light brown complexion with brown hair and she owns a pet pooch called, Marmalade, and is a friendly girl and is always ready to help others.

Raspberry Torte loves fashion and runs a berry trendy boutique, Fresh Fashions. Strawberry and the Berry Girls can always count on Raspberry Torte for all the berry latest styles. Raspberry Torte has long raspberry-coloured hair and owns a pup called, Chiffon.

Blueberry Muffin is clever and loves reading books and runs the Berry Bitty City bookstore, Blueberry Books. Blueberry Muffin has dark blue straight hair and is one of Strawberry's best friends and has pet pooch called Scouty.

Cherry Jam is musical talent and pop star that can sing and play several instruments and is a music teacher at Berry Bitty City. Cherry has purple-black silky hair and is one of Strawberry's best friends and has a pet Dalmation called, Cinnapup.
Huckleberry Pie
Huckleberry Pie
Huckleberry Pie runs a dog shelter called "Huckleberry's Home for Pets" in Berry Big Chity and has a pet dog called, Tom Tom. Huckleberry is energetic and friends, but lacks confidence, spending most of his time around animals, but has become great friends with Strawberry Shortcake and the Berry Girls.

Pupcake is Strawberry Shortcake's pet puppy and is great friends with her pet cat, Custard. Pupcake is white with a splash of green and a strawberry shaped patch around his right eye and wears a pink collar with a strawberry tag.

Custard is a super cute and friendly little kitten and is Strawberry Shortcake's pet and best friend. Custard is pale pink with white spots all over her and wears a green collar with a ribbon attached.
Henna

Henna is Lemon Meringue's pet and likes plenty of attention and likes to hide things. Henna is a hairy yellow cocker spaniel with cyan ribbon bows tied through her long-haired ears and a cyan collar with a lemon wedge tag.

Pitterpatch is Plum Pudding's pet and is an energetic puppy always ready to play. Pitterpatch is a Russell Terrier and is white with lilac patches and wears a purple collar with a plum charm.

Marmalade is Orange Blossom's pet and is obedient, but also has a mischievous character. Marmalade is a dachshund and is a shade of brown and orange. She has fluffy ears and wears a orange collar and orange blossom ornament on her tag and at the top of her head.

Scouty is Blueberry Muffin's pet pooch and is an energetic and playful dog, but is easily distracted. Scouty has blue fur and white markings and wears a purple collar and blueberry tag.

Chiffon is Raspberry Torte's pet chihuahua. Chiffon is the smallest puppy and is timid and quiet. Chiffon is pale pink with white markings with a green collar with a raspberry gem.

Cinnapup is Cherry Jam's pet and she loves to sing and howl and make lots of noise. Cinnapup is a Dalmation and is pink with hot pink spots and wears a purple collar with a cherry blossom tag.

Sadiebug and Kadiebug are twin ladybugs that are cousins of Jadeybug. They are often berry naughty and fight and cause problems when visiting Berry Bitty City.

Jadeybug is a ladybug that works as a clerk in the post office. Jadeybug is nice and polite, but can be clumsy and absent minded. Jadeybug has purple stripes on her body and wears a green scarf and wears a mailman's hat when she's working.

Berrykin Bloom is an elderly Berrykin that enjoys gardening and planting vegetables and flowers. Berrykin Bloom likes to invent new things to improve his crops. Berrykin Bloom is a "Strawberry Berrykin" and wears blue gardening gloves, glasses and often wears a sunhat.
